Land

Asset is difficult to hide, land taxes encourage development and house building.

Sales

Hard to avoid, by default punishing on the poor. Would have to be accompanied by higher benefits and working credits to ensure that there was balance and fairness. Could be a very simple flat tax with parents and other current special groups given higher child benefit.

Wealth

Haven't worked in practice where they have been applied, defining wealth can be hard and avoidance can sometimes be easy.
